“THEATER STUDIES”

          The applicant must have knowledge of the history of the world and Kazakh theatrical art, show independence of judgment about the modern theatrical process, must have the skills to analyze the play and the performance. Must have a high general intellectual level, have good knowledge in the field of literature and art, especially theater. Must be able to use a computer, know the state language.

Preliminary creative competition

The applicant must have knowledge about the modern theatrical process, about contemporary art, be able to discuss theater issues, write a review of a play or a play.

Creative exams

1. Written work: write a review of a play or play (4 hours). Present your vision of the idea, theme, images of the play or performance.
2. Oral examination (by tickets).

Requirements for the written exam:

Applicants must disclose their understanding of the theatrical work chosen for writing, show a sufficient level of knowledge on the history of theatrical art, be aware of modern theatrical life, be able to logically express thoughts, convincingly prove their position. Not only the content is evaluated, but also the form of the review, the style of presentation. The volume of work is 3 pages.

Requirements for the oral exam:

The applicant must:

– know the laws of the development of theatrical art;

– to show independence of judgments on the problems of the modern theatrical process;

– be able to analyze plays and performances;

– to know the creativity of key figures in the history of the Kazakh theater: leading – playwrights, actors, directors, theater critics, set designers of Kazakhstan;

– possess the skills of oral discussion of theatrical events and phenomena.
