“ FILM AND TV SCRIPTWRITER “

          The applicant must have a full secondary education. Must have a high educational and intellectual level, cinematic taste, have good knowledge in the field of literature, theater, cinema. Have a perfect command of the state language (Kazakh) and be able to work with a computer.

The applicant must have an idea:

– about the main directions of cinema;

– evolution of the development of genres in cinema;

– about the founders of cinematography;

– to know the laws of the development of cinematography; the universal and domestic history of cinematography, the peculiarities of the creative process in cinematography, the work of famous screenwriters, directors in the history of world and Kazakh cinema;

– to analyze the film and the play, to draw your own conclusions about today’s cinematic and dramatic process;

– have the skills of oral analysis of the current state of world and Kazakh film screenwriters, orientation in the context of trends in the field of arts, conducting discussions on cinema.

Preliminary creative selection:

          For applicants, consultations are held in the period before the entrance exams. During consultations, written works in the form of original texts are accepted: stories, poems, dramatic scenes, both published in newspapers, magazines, books, and printed in a computer set.

Creative exams:

1. Written exam (4 hours). The level of understanding of the ideological design and the features of the dramatic construction of the story is taken into account.
2. Oral examination (by tickets). Determination of the applicant’s level of knowledge about drama, cinematography, theater, fine arts, literature.

Requirements for the written exam:

          The applicant must understand the key idea of the written work (original texts, stories, poems, dramaturgical scenes), in which there must be an artistic view of the human world and the world of nature.

In written works, the degree of literary giftedness, aesthetic criteria, the activity of the applicant’s interest in the chosen specialty are revealed.

Requirements for the oral exam:

The applicant must know:

– Patterns of development of dramaturgy;

– Modern cinematic and dramatic process;

– Creativity of famous writers and screenwriters in the history of world and Kazakh literature;

– Themes and plots of plays;

– Directions of today’s Kazakh film screenwriters.
